European launch! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Friday, October 31, 2003 @ 9:14 AM-
I rushed home after school today and found my copy of F-Zero GX in my mailbox. F-Zero GX has finally been released in Europe! Being the last place on earth without F-Zero GX, the game is now truly worldwide.

An interesting thing I discovered in the European manual is that it states that F-Zero AX will come to Europe this December, and with 1 machine in Spain already things are looking bright for F-Zero AX. I'll be on the spot whenever a new AX location is discovered.

A review of the game and logitech wheel will be up next weekend(I don't want to write a review based on one weekend's impression).

Now... I'll go back playing!

10th location added! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Thursday, October 30, 2003 @ 1:03 PM-
Yay! The 10th location has been added to the database. The special thing about it is that it's the first non-test machine to be added to Europe. Find it under Spain. Thanks to putero for the info!

Tomorrow is a great day since F-Zero GX will officially launch in Europe(it's already out in some stores). I will have the Ticket guide up really soon to help all Europeans in need! ;)

We LOVE Golfland! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Wednesday, October 22, 2003 @ 9:40 AM-
It seems like Golfland knows that AX is a great game, cause so far they have shown some interest in it. There's now an AX machine in Golfland Sunsplash in Roseville, CA. There's also a Golfland with AX in Arizone and both of them favored the Deluxe version. I strongly advice you to check out a Golfland arcade near you, cause the chance of it having an AX machine is quite high.

Good luck with the search, and thanks to Doozer for providing info for the new location!

The game is out! - updated by: Metroid Killer

In Australia, that is!

Unfortunately I was away for the whole weekend and couldn't be here to celebrate the Australian release of F-Zero GX, which was actually changed from October 24th to 17th. Way to go Nintendo! Good luck for all you Aussies. And now we Europeans are the only one left withoutt he game, but fear not! We are only talking about 11 days! :)

Based on the F-Zero Anime, F-Zero: Legend of Falcon, a new F-Zero game is in the makings for the GBA. Sharing name with the Anime, the game will feature lots of modes such as Grand Prix, Time Attack, plus 5 new story modes, each with 8 missions. Most impressive is that there will be 29 opponments in races just like in F-Zero X and GX.

The game will support E-reader and GBA-GC connectivity, but no further details have been revealed.

The game is supposed to launch in Japan in late November.

Probably THE biggest Dr. Stewart fan has submitted some of her fanart. You can see Mekairinek's "Portrait of a Doctor" and "Death Anchor" at Fanstuff.

Right now we have two(!) F-Zero contests running at the smashboards forums:

SWF's Monthly Contest: F-Zero Edition: A drawing contest where you must create your own original F-Zero pilot, with bio, a machine and all the other details. Click on the link for more info.

The Pit Stop's F-Zero TRIVIA! How much do you really know about F-Zero? This trivia will certainly test you knowledge and provide you with some funny challenges once in a while.

Both contests are running throughout the whole month. And the winners will run off with great prizes such as the Pilot Themes Soundtrack.

Note: Don't forget to submit an AX location when you find one.

More machines! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Friday, October 3, 2003 @ 2:41 PM-

Two new machines have been added to the list of these mysterious extras that just came out from nowhere on the Japanese F-Zero site:

Thunder Stome(top)
Stats: DBC

How to unlock these machines is not known, however it seems like you can them in the Japanese Galaxy Cup. Hopefully they will be avialable outside Japan as well.

Anime Trailer! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Thursday, October 2, 2003 @ 1:06 PM-

The very first trailer of the upcoming F-Zero anime, F-Zero: The Legend of Falcon has just been released at the Japanese Nintendo website.

Watch the trailer here.

F-Zero: The legend of Falcon introduces a new character to the F-Zero universe, the private detective, Ryu Suzaku. Following in the shadow of Captain Falcon he tries to unlock some of his darkened past. The anime is drawn as the usual animes, but 3D models of the F-Zero machines are used doing the actual races.
Many of the original characters will appear in the anime as well.
We will cover much more of the anime when it launches in Japan!

Fan art and merchandize - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Thursday, October 2, 2003 @ 12:02 PM-

The very first Fan Art has been submitted by Boa, and resembles one of the F-Zero X girls.

A lot of pictures have been added to the Merchandize page, and you can now see every detail of the Logitech Wheel.

Also the contest at the Pit Stop is going strong. Make sure to guess along by clicking this link.

New Machine: GLADIATOR! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Wednesday, October 1, 2003 @ 1:23 PM-

Yesterday the Gladiator was revealed at the official F-Zero GX site. It is a new special machine semilar to the Bahamut

It consists of the three parts:
Body - Galaxy Falcon - E
Booster - Rush Cyclone D
Cockpit - Hornet -FX A

There is still some confusion on how to get the new parts. But so far it seems to be an exclusive promo download in a few selected stores in Japan, semilar to the way you could get Mew. Wether the new parts will be available in the rest of the world is unknown.
More as it breaks.

Contest and more! - updated by: Metroid Killer
-Wednesday, October 1, 2003 @ 10:32 AM-
I've got some cool updates!

First of all our Merchandize section just grew a lot bigger. With scans of the US cover etc. and even more promotion stuff the page is finally looking ok. Tomorrow I'll add pictures concerning the Logitech Wheel.

The Fan Stuff page also just opened. If you have any drawings or other fan stuff you are very welcome to submit it(go to the page for more info). Right now you just HAVE to see the very cool LEGO model of Black Bull.

The Pit Stop's F-Zero TRIVIA!
This cool trivia has just begun! And you have no excuse not to enter this month-long contest where you can win a copy of the unofficial Pilot Profiles Soundtrack. Each day a new F-Zero related question will be added. The later questions will even make the most hardcore F-Zero fan sweat of frustration. Good luck!
